For any player to miss entire training camp and all but 10 minutes of preseason basketball, it’s natural to assume they’d need conditioning and time to make it back on top. In the case of Derrick Rose, his struggles are apparent, but his satisfaction is questionable.

“As far as my performance, I love the way I pushed the ball. I’m not worried about my offense. It’s all about conditioning.”” – Derrick Rose

“We gotta get (Rose) back to playing with more pace.” – Fred Hoiberg

Derrick Rose scored single digits in three straight games for the first time in his career. With minimal conditioning, Rose scored more points in his only preseason game this year when he played just 10 minutes. The ability for Rose to score is still there. His speed and athleticism have not been compromised despite his vision problems. Rose has struggled from beyond the arc as he’s failed to make one three-pointer this season. However, it’s his eight shot attempts per game and lethargic presence failing to attack the basket but remain satisfied seems a bit concerning.

Jimmy Butler has played great so far but remains unsatisfied, though it seems like some of his teammates aren’t burning with the same passion.
