Anybody and everybody who’s been around Derrick Rose this summer will tell you the same thing that he’s back to his MVP level. Ask Russell Westbrook, Rob McClanaghan, or John Calipari, they’ll all tell you how excited they are about Derrick Rose next season.

John Calipari told Sam Smith at the Hall of Fame ceremony about Derrick Rose in excitement. Rose’s confidence has never fallen, but it somehow increased at an all time high. He was poised when he promised Chicago a championship and specifically promised to reclaim the MVP award. Many have forgotten about Rose, others wish he was traded, but the confidence Rose is going into next summer feels like he’s bound to do something special.
Fred Hoiberg also spoke highly of Derrick Rose as he visited him this summer in California. The system Hoiberg to put together well benefit Rose the most before any other player. In a point guard driven season, Rose could look to put up MVP caliber numbers if he remains healthy.
