The Chicago Bulls desperately needed to find their rhythm going into Charlotte as they faced the Hornets. The Bulls stuck to their game plan of launching three-pointers as they attempted 28 threes from behind the arc.  However, they broke down late in the game as the Hornets beat the Bulls 94-86.

Jimmy Butler had a strong performance with 18 points in 37 minutes. Joakim Noah turned back the clocks with his double-double as he scored 12 points with 13 rebounds and 7 assists in 33 minutes. Both Nikola Mirotic and Taj Gibson flirted with a double-double. Gibson ended the game with 14 points and 9 rebounds in just 17 minutes of action, while Mirotic added 13 points with 9 rebounds.

Tony Snell returned to the lineup after injuring his ankle. Pau Gasol was given a rest day due to general soreness.
