The Bulls look to address the backup guard position for Derrick Rose this free agency. Kirk HInrich opted into his final year of his contract early Monday morning. The Bulls and Aaron Brooks mutually decided to move on past this season, as they’ve done with all their one-and-done point guards. The Bulls are putting a list of backup point guards together that could help in their championship run this season.

“Rodney Stuckey, Mo Williams, Gary Neal, JJ Barea, and Jeremy Lin are some of the many guards on the Bulls’ free-agent list,” – KC Johnson

“Stuckey would be interested in hearing from the Bulls this summer. The 29-year old guard averaged around 13 points and three assists in 26 minutes last year, shooting a career high 39 percent from 3-point range.” – Vincent Goodwell

Rodney Stuckey is interested in what the Bulls have to offer according to CSN Chicago. Stuckey on all accounts might be the most expensive guard from the list, but he could very much be the most talented as well. Last season, Stuckey came off the bench for the Pacers and averaged 12ppg including a few 30+ point performances.

Rodney Stuckey isn’t the best shooter, but he’s a guard who has a great feel for the game. His ability to play bully-ball around the rim has made him valuable to any team he’s been on. At 6’5, the 29 year-old has  versatility of playing combo guard or possibly the small forward position in small ball.
