The Chicago Bulls are planning on offering Caron Butler a mini mid-level exception according to Realgm. Bulls are one of five teams Butler is receiving interest in this summer. Clippers, Lakers, Spurs, and the Knicks are all expected pursue Butler once free agency begins July 1st.

Caron Butler at age 35 is considered to be a savvy veteran as he played for eight different franchises in his career. Butler who averaged 14ppg for his career was known to be a above-average scorer in his prime.

Caron Butler averaged 5.9ppg on 37% from behind the arc last season with the Pistons. Butler has been a steady 3-point shooter which the Bulls desperately need. As the Bulls are bracing themselves going into luxury tax, they’re looking to add a wing player in free agency to go along with Mike Dunleavy Jr if he chooses to return to Chicago.
