The inability to build upon the championship roster that Gar Forman put together in the summer of 2010 has now led to angry fans starting a petition asking the Bulls organization to fire their general manager. By not making a single trade from 2010-2014, the Bulls front office have put themselves in a difficult position moving forward.

The Bulls went into the allstar break with a 27-25 record, a record that felt foreign to Bulls fans in the Tom Thibodeau era. After sitting with their hands behind their back in the 2015 free-agency, the Bulls front office were with content firing an elite coach in Tom Thibodeau and replaced him with Fred Hoiberg, a rookie head coach.

The front office were able to get away with many of their bizarre moves because of Jerry Reinsdorf’s loyalty. Firing Ron Adams, Thibodeau’s lead assistant and best friend, was the beginning of the falling out between front office and the head coach. However, it’s not the first time the Bulls front office had problems with their coach. John Paxson instigated a physical altercation with former coach Vinny Del Negro.

John Paxson has seen five coaches fired since his addition to the Bulls front office. Fred Hoiberg, hand-picked choice, will be the sixth coach Paxson will employ under his supervision. Jerry Reinsdorf is beginning to realize it’s not the coaches he needs to worry about, it’s the front office that he needs to reevaluate.
