There are at least 10 general managers shaking their heads from regret as they watched Bobby Portis torch the first overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Chicago Bulls beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 84-71 in their Summer League debut. Doug McDermott lit up the box score with 20 points on 9-16 shooting. McDermott played inside the arc majority of the game as he went 1-3 from behind the 3-point line.
The big story of the day was Bobby Portis who started at Center for the Bulls. Portis matched up one-on-one with Karl-Anthony Towns and had 23 points on 9-14 shooting including three 3-pointers. Portis played with high intensity and smooth offense, something Bulls fans could easily get used to moving forward.
